Question 1

How does it work — from enquiry to a curated shortlist?

Accepted Answer

Send us your dates, party size, required bedrooms and what matters to you — location, workspace, privacy, budget. We match your brief against the apartments, villas and venues in our network and reply with a curated shortlist of the options most suited to your requirements, with availability, terms and pricing for your dates. Nothing is confirmed until you choose.

Question 2

How much does accommodation cost during WEF in Davos?

Accepted Answer

WEF accommodation prices vary significantly depending on location, property size, number of bedrooms, standard of accommodation and proximity to the Congress Centre. As a general guide based on the WEF properties we work with, private accommodation during the main WEF period can start at approximately CHF 25,000, with larger, luxury or exceptionally well-located properties costing considerably more. WEF pricing should not be compared with normal Davos rental prices, as demand during the Annual Meeting is exceptionally high. For an accurate quotation, send us your dates, number of guests, required bedrooms, preferred location and approximate budget.

Question 3

Where can I find an apartment near the Davos Congress Centre for WEF?

Accepted Answer

Apartments within walking distance of the Davos Congress Centre are among the most sought-after accommodation options during WEF. We source and manage apartments in different parts of Davos, including properties close to the Congress Centre — from smaller executive apartments to larger multi-bedroom residences suitable for corporate groups and VIP guests. When enquiring, tell us your dates, number of guests, required bedrooms and maximum preferred walking distance from the Congress Centre, and we'll identify the suitable available properties.

Question 4

Is it better to stay in Davos Platz or Davos Dorf during WEF?

Accepted Answer

For most WEF visitors, the more important consideration is the actual distance from the Davos Congress Centre — located at Talstrasse 49a in Davos Platz — rather than the Davos Platz or Davos Dorf label. The Congress Centre is approximately a 20-minute walk from either Davos Platz or Davos Dorf railway station. For executives with busy schedules, an apartment within around 5–15 minutes' walking distance of the Congress Centre can be particularly convenient, so we always check a property's exact location and walking distance rather than relying on how the address is described.

Question 5

How far in advance should I book WEF accommodation?

Accepted Answer

As early as possible — ideally six months or more before the Annual Meeting. WEF inventory is limited and in high demand, and the best apartments in central Davos are secured first. Early enquiries get the widest choice of locations, property types and walking distances.

Question 6

Are 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments available during WEF Davos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. WEF accommodation in Davos ranges from smaller apartments to large multi-bedroom apartments, luxury residences, villas and, in some cases, multiple apartments within the same building. We have access to a large selection of WEF accommodation and can also assist companies looking to accommodate several executives, employees or guests close to one another.

Question 7

What is the minimum stay for an apartment during WEF Davos?

Accepted Answer

Many WEF properties are priced for the main WEF period rather than strictly on a nightly basis. This means that renting an apartment for fewer nights will not necessarily reduce the price proportionally — an owner may charge a similar amount whether a guest stays for part of the WEF period or the entire available period. Minimum-stay requirements and pricing vary by property, so these are always confirmed with your quote before booking.

Question 8

Can I find WEF accommodation in Davos at the last minute?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Last-minute WEF accommodation can sometimes be arranged, and properties may become available because of cancellations or changes in owners' plans. However, booking in advance is strongly recommended — waiting until the last minute usually means having fewer choices regarding location, apartment size and amenities. If you require a particular number of bedrooms or want to be within walking distance of the Congress Centre, arranging accommodation early is especially important.

Question 9

How do I know if a WEF apartment rental in Davos is legitimate?

Accepted Answer

Due to the extremely high demand and value of accommodation during WEF, it is important to verify who you are renting from before making a substantial payment. If you are renting directly from an owner, ask for documentation confirming ownership. If you are booking through an agent or management company, ask for confirmation that they are authorised to rent the property — for example a signed agreement between the property owner and the company. You should also have a written rental agreement clearly identifying the property, rental dates, price, payment terms and the parties to the agreement. Be particularly careful about transferring large amounts of money based solely on photographs, messages or an online advertisement. As a Swiss registered company, NexStay provides written agreements and verifiable terms for every booking.

Question 10

Do you offer serviced apartments during WEF?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We provide fully furnished serviced apartments with kitchen, workspace and Wi-Fi, with housekeeping available during your stay — a practical alternative to hotels for delegates and teams staying several days or longer around the Forum week.

Question 11

What information do you need to provide a quote?

Accepted Answer

Your approximate dates, the number of guests, bedrooms required, your preferred location (Davos or Klosters), the type of accommodation you need and an indicative budget. The enquiry form on this page covers all of that — add any special requirements and we'll reply with a curated shortlist and pricing for your dates.

Question 12

Do I need a car during the World Economic Forum in Davos?

Accepted Answer

If you are staying close to the Davos Congress Centre, a car is generally not necessary. During WEF week Davos becomes extremely busy, and walking, public transport and shuttle services are often more convenient — walking is actively encouraged during the Annual Meeting. For guests who require private transportation, executive vehicles or airport transfers, we can arrange professional drivers for individual journeys or throughout your stay.

Question 13

Can you accommodate corporate teams and delegations?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We arrange multiple apartments for delegations, corporate teams and support staff — in the same building or the same neighbourhood wherever possible — with one point of contact for the whole booking.

Question 14

Can a company rent several apartments for WEF in Davos?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Companies and delegations can rent multiple apartments for executives, employees, clients and guests. Where available, we can arrange several apartments within the same building or within close walking distance of each other, and we can also coordinate transportation, housekeeping, catering and guest requirements centrally. This can be particularly useful for companies that need accommodation for a larger WEF delegation but prefer private apartments to multiple hotel rooms.

Question 15

Do you need a permit to host an event during WEF?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the event. A large group with branding will usually require a permit, while a simple meeting generally does not. Where permits are possible, we can help obtain them.

Question 16

How do I book WEF accommodation for VIP guests or executives?

Accepted Answer

For VIP guests, executives and corporate delegations, we can source premium apartments, luxury residences and villas in and around Davos. When arranging VIP accommodation, we recommend considering privacy, location, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, housekeeping requirements, transportation, security requirements and proximity to the guest's meetings and events. We can also coordinate additional services such as private drivers, airport transfers, housekeeping and catering, providing one point of contact for the stay.

Question 17

What should I arrange before travelling to Davos for WEF?

Accepted Answer

Accommodation should only be one part of your preparation. Before travelling, check that you have the appropriate WEF accreditation or badges for the areas and events you intend to access, as well as any required event registrations or other permissions — access to certain WEF security zones is controlled, and official Annual Meeting badges are personal. You should also arrange transportation, airport transfers, accommodation check-in and any catering or housekeeping requirements well in advance.

Question 18

Is an apartment or hotel better for WEF Davos?

Accepted Answer

Both can work well, depending on your requirements. Hotels can be convenient for traditional hotel services, while private apartments provide significantly more living space, privacy, kitchens and areas where colleagues or guests can meet. Apartments can be particularly suitable for executives staying for several days, families, larger groups and companies that need several bedrooms or living and dining areas. During WEF, availability and location are often just as important as the type of accommodation, so we recommend comparing both based on your specific requirements.

Question 19

Where is the best place to stay during WEF — Davos or nearby?

Accepted Answer

Most delegates prefer to stay in Davos itself, close to the Congress Centre on the Promenade, where the Annual Meeting's sessions and side events take place. Klosters, around forty minutes away by train or car, is a quieter alternative in the same region that still keeps you connected to the Forum.

Question 20

How many apartments can you secure for one delegation?

Accepted Answer

It depends on January inventory, but our network regularly covers several apartments in the same building or within close walking distance of one another. Tell us your party size, split by executives, employees and guests, and we'll build a proposal that keeps the team as close together as availability allows.

Question 21

Can you arrange accommodation for support and security staff too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Alongside executive apartments, we can source simpler, well-located units for support, advance and close-protection teams — booked under the same agreement so your whole operation sits with one provider.

Question 22

How does invoicing and payment work for corporate bookings?

Accepted Answer

Corporate bookings are made under one written rental agreement with consolidated terms, and we confirm payment terms, deposits and cancellation conditions with your quote before anything is committed. There is no need to reconcile several owners or platforms after the event.

Question 23

Can apartments be used for meetings or client entertainment during WEF?

Accepted Answer

Apartments with generous living and dining areas work well for informal meetings, debriefs and small client gatherings. Anything with branding, catering staff or a larger guest list is treated as an event and may require a permit — we can advise and help obtain one where possible.

Question 24

Can you coordinate transfers for the whole team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can arrange airport transfers from Zurich and, for private aviation, Samedan, as well as local shuttles and drivers for the duration of Forum week — coordinated centrally so the whole party travels on one plan.

Question 25

What types of properties suit VIP guests during WEF?

Accepted Answer

Our VIP portfolio centres on luxury apartments, private chalets and villas in and around Davos. The right choice depends on the principal's priorities — privacy, walking distance to the Congress Centre, staff quarters, entertainment space and the standard of finish — and we shortlist accordingly.

Question 26

Can you arrange private chefs, catering and housekeeping?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Private chefs, catered dinners, daily housekeeping and linen service can all be arranged for the duration of the stay, tailored to the household's schedule during Forum week.

Question 27

Can you arrange airport transfers and private drivers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We arrange transfers from Zurich Airport and, for private aviation, Engadin Airport in Samedan, as well as executive vehicles with professional drivers for individual journeys or throughout the week.

Question 28

How is privacy handled for high-profile guests?

Accepted Answer

We prioritise properties with private entrances, quiet locations and minimal shared areas, and we keep the handling of every booking discreet from enquiry to check-out. Housekeeping and catering staff are arranged so that the household controls who is present and when.

Question 29

Can close-protection teams be accommodated nearby?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can source separate, well-located accommodation for close-protection and support staff close to the principal's residence, with access arrangements that work smoothly alongside WEF security-zone planning.

Question 30

When should VIP accommodation be reserved?

Accepted Answer

As early as possible — ideally six months or more ahead. The finest private properties in Davos are secured first for the Forum week, and VIP requirements tend to be the most specific, so early enquiries get the strongest choice.

Question 31

What's included in a serviced apartment during WEF?

Accepted Answer

Fully furnished apartments with a complete kitchen, dedicated workspace, Wi-Fi, and housekeeping with fresh linen during your stay. Exact inclusions vary by property, so we confirm everything with your quote before booking.

Question 32

Can I stay beyond the Forum week?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Serviced apartments are the most flexible WEF option — stays from a few nights to the full week and beyond, subject to availability. Minimum-stay requirements vary by property and are always confirmed with your quote.

Question 33

Is a serviced apartment cheaper than a hotel during WEF?

Accepted Answer

For multi-night stays, a serviced apartment usually delivers more space and included service for your budget than hotel rooms of comparable standard — and a full kitchen saves significantly on restaurant costs. WEF-period pricing still applies, so we recommend requesting a quote for your exact dates to compare properly.

Question 34

Are serviced apartments suitable for media and production crews?

Accepted Answer

Yes — they suit media and production teams particularly well. There is space for equipment, irregular hours don't disturb hotel neighbours in the same way, and the workspace and Wi-Fi support editing and filing during the week.

Question 35

Can a serviced apartment be booked for a small team?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We regularly place small teams in several serviced apartments in the same building or neighbourhood, under one booking and one point of contact — the same principle as our delegation service, sized for smaller groups.

Question 36

Do serviced apartments have parking during WEF?

Accepted Answer

Some properties offer parking, but availability varies and WEF week brings traffic restrictions in central Davos. If you're staying close to the Congress Centre a car is rarely necessary, and for guests who do need vehicles we can advise on parking arrangements when you enquire.
